OUR VISION

By God’s grace and power we see First Lutheran Church growing as a caring and committed fellowship of believers that are truly devoted to being equipped and mobilized for a ministry that touches thousands of lives with the love and grace of God in Jesus Christ our Savior through our personal witness, dynamic worship, in-depth Bible study, human care efforts and world-wide mission involvement.

To that end we will seek to:

1. Grow 10% per year in our worship attendance, in adult confirmands, in church membership, and in members involved in a personal ministry.

2. Discover, develop and deploy the spiritual gifts of the majority of our members.

3. Grow in being an inviting and responsive congregation to guests and others in the community.

4. Develop a vibrant program for youth of all ages with parental / family involvement.

5. Promote our preschool within the community toward the goal of establishing a Christian Day School within 5 years.

6. Involve every member in consistent Bible study programs, such as Sunday school, Bible classes, small groups and personal devotions.

7. Provide an assimilation ministry for all members, especially for incoming and inactive members.

8. Respond effectively to the personal and family needs of those in our congregation and within the community with a variety of caring ministries (for example: seniors, single adults, young families, etc.).

9. Support at least one foreign, one national and one local mission project with personal involvement as well as financial support. Develop a vibrant program for youth of all ages with parental / family involvement.

10. Provide the facilities, staff, structure and financial support that enable our mission and ministry to function effectively.
